چکیده

Anaerobic digestion (AD) is one of the most widely used processes to stabilize waste sewage sludge and produce biogas as renewable energy. This study investigated effects Fe3O4 NPs at different concentrations (0,100 300 mg/L) on AD. 100mg/L could increase gas production by 21.9% reach highest methane content 66.75%. In addition, 100 mg/L kept pH an appropriate level. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) was changes in surface morphology sludge. The dynamics cumulative daily were studied using Logistic model modified Gompertz respectively. Other indices also had changed whole process, which end lead variation production. These results suggested that microbial activity relevant enzyme activities, caused transitions between phases system.

Methane production by anaerobic digestion of wastewater and solid wastes

Anaerobic conversion of organic materials and pollutants is an established technology for environmental protection through the treatment of wastes and wastewater. The end product is biogas –a mixture of methane and carbon dioxide–, which is a useful, renewable energy source. Anaerobic digestion is a technologically simple process, with a low energy requirement, used to convert organic material ...

Methane Production by Anaerobic Digestion of Water Hyacinth (eichhornia Crassipes)

Water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes) is an aquatic biomass species that exhibits prolific growth in many s s o f h e world (1). It has been suggested as a strong candidate for production of methane because of high biomass yield potential (2). Several studies have been carried out which establish that methane can be produced from water hyacinth under anaerobic digestion conditions (3-6). Both b...

Effect of organic loading rates (OLR) on production of methane from anaerobic digestion of vegetables waste

In this study, experiments were conducted to investigate the production of biogas from vegetable wastes by using anaerobic digestion process. The complete-mix, pilot-scale digester with working volume of 70 l was used. The experimental protocol was defined to examine the effect of the change in the organic loading rate on the efficiency of the production of biogas and to report on its steady-st...

Enhanced Methane Production from Anaerobic Co-Digestion of Wheat Straw and Herbal-Extraction Process Residues

The efficient biosynthesis of methane from renewable biomass resources is discussed in this paper. Herbal-extraction process residues (HPR) are an excellent raw material for anaerobic digestion because of their abundant trace elements and fermentation stability. Anaerobic codigestion of wheat straw with HPR was evaluated at HPR/wheat straw ratios (based on total solids (TS), of wheat straw) of ...
